2 Halves as A Whole would like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land on which we live and work, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to elders, both past and present, and acknowledge ourselves as uninvited guest on this sacred country where sovereignty has never been ceded. We recognise the past atrocities against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this land and that Australia was founded on the genocide and dispossession of First Nations People. We acknowledge that colonial structures and policies remain in place today and recognise the ongoing struggles of First Nations people in dismantling these structures. We acknowledge our privilege and respect that the land on which we are fortunate to live and create on is not our own. We thank the First Peoples of this land for looking after this sacred Country, and for the rich cultural and artistic history they have bestowed unto the land which we now call home.
